Course Description and Maps
The event is the fastest Half Marathon in Utah with a gentle rolling downhill course and spectacular mountain scenery. A definite PR course which starts 6 miles up the south fork of Hobble Creek Canyon at Balsam Campground and ends at Mapleton City Park.
The net elevation loss is 1,253 feet, almost exactly half of the 2,560 foot loss at the St. George Marathon.

Transportation: Runners are taken by bus from Mapleton City Park to the starting line from 5:45 to 6:10 AM.
Driving Directions: Please take note---Springville Exit 260 is closed this year!
Directions for this year: Take exit 258 to merge onto US-6 toward US-89 and go 1.3 miles; Turn right at Expy Ln - 197 ft; Turn left at N 800 E - 0.4 mi; Turn left at E 400 N/UT-147 Continue to follow UT-147 - 2.3 mi; Turn left at S 1600 W/US-89 - 1.0 mi; Turn right at W Maple St/UT-147 Continue to follow W Maple St 1 Mile and arrive at Mapleton City Park 35 E. Maple St Mapleton
Regular Directions: to Mapleton City Park (Packet Pickup/Busses/Finish Line):
From I-15 take Exit 260 - Springville/Mapleton --- Turn East and go 1.7 miles to State Street where you will turn right --- Stay in the right lane and follow the sign to Mapleton which is about 2.4 miles. --- You will see a Subway and Conoco station on the East side of the road --- Turn left here...This will be Maple Street.
